Creating Business Ideas

One of the great abilities to have is to be able to create new ideas and execute them. People find it amazing how songwriters can come up with super songs and lyrics, seemingly out of the blue. From where do these ideas come? Writers as well, seem to have an ability to produce wonderful books or articles that can have a major impact on peoples’ lives. A good example is Harry Potter from J K Rowling. So where do ideas come from?

There are some techniques to help the new employee or anyone else for that matter, to come up with useful ideas that they can apply in their workplace. First and foremost they should go to a quiet room where they will not be disturbed for 30 minutes or so. They then just relax and quieten down their mind. Now, first thing to do is to think of a subject that they want to find a solution for. Imagine that the new employee has to find a solution to complete a simple task at work, such as finding out how and where to do general filing. Sit a paper and pencil beside them and in a relaxed state ask themselves how they can find a solution for the above subject. They then say and do nothing, quietening the mind and look, listen and become aware at what happens.

What will happen at first is their mind will not shut up – the little voice will start chattering. ‘What’s he on about, this will never work, etc. etc.’ this is absolutely natural because people have lived a life time with this internal voice and it takes practise to quieten it down. The good news is it can be done. The reason they need to shut the little voice up is that the person is being sent signals immediately after they have asked that question. They may come in the form of an image, a sound (maybe that voice!) or a feeling. All of these signals are the other than conscious mind beginning to communicate with the person.

The trick is being able to uncover the meaning of the signals. That is why they put a piece of paper beside themselves during the exercise or beside their bed at night, when inspiration can appear. The great news is that once a person is in dialogue with his or her unconscious mind, miracles can happen!
